Clean electricity for 5,500 households
The company MK Fintel Wind officially put into operation the wind park La Piccolina in Zagajica near Vršac, which is also considered to be the second plant of this kind that the company has built and the first in Southern Banat, as announced by the company.
It is the plant with installed power capacity of 6.6 megawatts (MW) and the company invested in its construction the amount of 10 million eur, as stated in the company’s press release.
The test work of the wind farm La Piccolinabegan in mid-July this year, when 1.5 million kilowatt-hours of electricity flowed towards Vršac.
The Minister of Mining and Energy Aleksandar Antić, in the presence of officials and investors, cut off the ribbon and officially put the wind farm into operation.
"I am proud of the fact that in this mandate and the previous mandate of the Government of the Republic of Serbia we have opened the second wind farm and we have made a significant step forward as a state and the community in generaltowards a greater representation of the renewable energy in total demand" said Antić.
